Lacey Chabert is one of the rare child actors who successfully navigated Hollywood and continued to thrive. Over three decades after first appearing as Claudia Salinger on Party of Five, she’s still a working actress and has become a leading star for Hallmark.
Neve Campbell was just 11 years old when Party of Five first aired in 1994. Her character dealt with difficult experiences like loss and sadness, but found support and resilience in her family. The show continued for six seasons, concluding in 2000. Recently, at a ’90s Con panel, Campbell remembered the last day of filming. She described how everyone broke down in tears and shared emotional hugs. The cast made a special effort to spend extra time together before parting ways, and they’ve remained close friends for many years.

In 2023, Lacey Chabert worked with her old co-star, Scott Wolf, again in the Hallmark Christmas movie A Merry Scottish Christmas. She called the experience “amazing,” saying it felt like they’d last worked together yesterday. Their daughters even became friends on set, proving their connection has lasted over the years.
I was such a fan of Neve Campbell in Party of Five, but I recently learned she’d been working in the entertainment industry for years before that! Growing up in Mississippi, she was a pageant kid – can you believe she won World’s Baby Petite in 1985? She was a total prodigy! She even did Star Search when she was just eight, then moved to New York and started doing commercials. And get this – she was in Les Misérables on Broadway when she was only nine years old! By the time she was ten, she was already acting on All My Children. It’s amazing how much she accomplished so young!
Following her role on Party of Five, Jennifer Love Hewitt continued acting in movies and TV shows. She appeared in Lost in Space, provided the voice for Eliza Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys, had a short stint as Meg Griffin on Family Guy, and gained significant recognition as Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls.

Lacey Chabert became a major star thanks to Hallmark. She first appeared in their movie Elevator Girl in 2010 and quickly became one of the network’s most popular leads. By 2024, she had been in almost 40 Hallmark films, signed a deal to make many more, and even started producing them. Outside of acting, Lacey married David Nehdar in 2013 and welcomed a daughter in 2016. She also launched a clothing line on HSN in 2022 and hosted the show Celebrations with Lacey Chabert. In 2024, she starred in the popular Netflix Christmas movie Hot Frosty.
Now in her early forties, Chabert is a successful and dedicated woman. She’s built her career on consistent effort and good decisions, avoiding any unnecessary drama or shortcuts.
