Kuma Is Back as the ‘One Piece’ Special Releases Official PV Video for Episode 3

As a die-hard fan of One Piece, who’s been sailing through this epic pirate saga since its early days, I can’t help but feel like a lucky dog with a fresh bone tossed my way! With the main series on a well-deserved break until 2025, it feels like Christmas came early when they announced the Special Edited Version. The thought of revisiting Fish-Man Island in all its remastered glory is enough to make me walk the plank with joy!

For enthusiasts of Eiichiro Oda’s highly acclaimed series, it’s well-known that One Piece is taking a hiatus until April 2025, with the anime specifically. However, this doesn’t mean there’s no content for One Piece fans to appreciate, as the One Piece anime continues to be broadcasted, even during this break period.

During the hiatus of the primary anime, an exciting development has emerged – the “Specially Edited Version – One Piece: Fish-Man Island Saga” is being aired instead. This special version features classic episodes remastered for our enjoyment, bringing delight to fans in various ways.

Based on the recent development, the authentic Japanese X account for the One Piece anime has unveiled the official trailer for the third episode of the Special Edited Version. Fans can’t contain their excitement as they will finally witness the character Bartholomew Kuma in the enhanced version of the anime!

For those following the series, it’s worth mentioning that t Special Edited Version,” will include improved drawings, updated animation sequences, and the addition of Dolby Atmos sound technology. This upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the overall quality of the content and offer a fresh perspective on familiar scenes.

In the realm of anime, it’s quite common to encounter remastered episodes of older series like Detective Conan during the main show’s hiatus. However, unlike One Piece, this practice isn’t consistently systematic.

Be that as it may, here is the announcement:

【Next episode of TV Anime airs on November 17th (Tue) at 9:30 AM】

— ONE PIECE スタッフ【公式】/ Official (@Eiichiro_Staff) November 10, 2024

We also have the video here for you, so you can check it out for yourselves:

The title of the upcoming episode is “An Astounding Disclosure – Generous Kuma,” and it’s set to broadcast on November 17, 2024, in Japan. Crunchyroll has announced that the episodes will be shown worldwide, but with a one-month exclusivity period in certain regions following its initial airing.

From what I gather, starting November 2024 through April 2025, we’ll be diving back into the captivating world of One Piece with the Special Edited Version – Fish-Man Island Saga remastered anime! Instead of the original 57 episodes, this reboot will span only 21, providing a condensed yet immersive experience. While not every scene will be given the remastered treatment, the essence of this iconic saga remains intact. Get ready to relish in some classic moments, now enhanced with improved visuals and sound quality!

As it’s not a complete overhaul or reboot, but instead an enhanced version, the original voice cast will stay the same. However, we have listed the names of the fresh team members involved in the Special.

  • Series Director: Tatsuya Nagamine
  • Series Composition + Script: Momoka Toyoda
