In recent times, Marvel has been dominating the attention with its superhero movie popcorn buckets. However, DC is now making a move to challenge that dominance. After all, who can outshine a giant cosmic villain like Galactus in the Fantastic Four: First Steps, if not Krypto the Superdog? Yes, the powerful pet of Kal-El (Superman) is taking center stage in several new popcorn buckets for Cinemark theaters. Not only that, but even Superman himself will be seen on a few buckets too. Among the standout items in the collection is the popcorn bucket featuring Krypto, the Superdog, which grabs an old-school popcorn bag with his mouth. Notably, Cinemark offers a Krypto dog bowl popcorn bucket embellished with the iconic Superman ‘S’ shield logo. Furthermore, you’ll find a popcorn tin depicting Superman flying alongside Krypto, and another featuring the Last Son of Krypton with crossed arms and the ‘S’ shield on its back. In addition, there’s a popcorn tin showcasing classic DC Comics Superman artwork including Krypto. The Fortress of Solitude cup designed for chilled beverages resembles Superman’s arctic abode. Lastly, the Superman and Krypto plush toys are incredibly cute.
Cinemark hasn’t disclosed the costs of their exclusive Superman goods just yet, but we anticipate that all Cinemark Superman merchandise such as popcorn buckets and other items will be available online at the official Cinemark Shop soon. It won’t be long before AMC and Regal unveil their own Superman popcorn buckets and merchandise too, just like always, they’ll be in limited supply. The upcoming Superman film by James Gunn from DC Studios is set to hit theaters on July 11.
