Kristen Davis openly expresses her apprehensions: The actress has disclosed that she felt Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t quite enthusiastic enough about the possibility of Sex and the City being commissioned for an entire season prior to its airing.
As reported by People magazine, during her “Are You a Charlotte?” rewatch podcast, Davis reminisced about the period following the filming of the show’s pilot, while they awaited HBO’s decision on whether to proceed with the series.
The actress expressed, “They had approximately 18 months to make up their minds, or around that timeframe,” further noting, “It might have been closer to a year. Regardless of the exact duration, it seemed like an endless period.” She remembered frequently contacting her manager each day to inquire about any new developments.
