As a devoted admirer, I found myself deeply moved when I saw my co-star, the late Willie Garson, appear on screen recently, just like Kristin Davis did.
In the critically praised TV show “Sex and the City,” played by HBO, the actress portrayed Charlotte York. A character closely associated with Stanford Blatch, who was enacted by Garson in the series. For those unaware, Garson’s character, Blatch, was a close friend to Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
As an unabashed fanatic, I can’t help but share my excitement when I talk about the first episode of the new Sex and the City rewatch podcast, Are You a Charlotte? It turns out that during my passionate discussion about Davis’ remarkable portrayal in the series’ pilot episode, she had to pause for a commercial break!
Kristin Davis, apparently, expressed something like this: “Oh dear, I’ve overlooked Willie! Oh dear, when Willie appears on the screen – I might just shed a tear, forgive me, but you understand he’s still so young.” Her voice became choked with emotion, and her eyes welled up with tears.
Later on, the actress affectionately referred to the late Willie Garson as “gorgeous,” while playfully labeling herself and her fellow show cast members as “tiny, tiny infants.
During the podcast discussion, Davis expressed her desire for a brief interruption, saying “I’d like to pause for a moment.
In case you haven’t heard, Willie Garson sadly passed away in September 2021. This talented actor, known for his roles in films like “Out Cold,” “Little Manhattan,” “Untamed Heart,” and many others, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after a private struggle.
