As a dedicated follower of Kristin Cavallari‘s journey, I can’t help but empathize with her struggles in co-parenting with her ex-husband, Jay Cutler. Having gone through my own share of relationship ups and downs, I can understand the challenges she faces when it comes to navigating a complex dynamic with an ex.
Co-parenting is never easy, but it seems particularly difficult for Kristin and Jay, given their turbulent past. As someone who has been there, I know that the lack of consistency and bumpy road they’ve experienced are all too familiar. However, I also applaud them for being able to sit together at their son’s basketball game without conflict, as it shows progress and a willingness to put their children first.
Listening to Kristin reflect on her relationship with Jay, I can see that it was indeed toxic, but she also acknowledges the good that came from it. As someone who has had my fair share of relationships mirrored by my family dynamics (my dad could give Cutler a run for his money!), I understand how difficult it is to separate the positive memories from the negative ones.
I’m glad to see Kristin moving on and finding a way to forgive without needing an apology or reconciliation with Jay. As someone who has learned to laugh at life’s challenges, I’ll end by saying that co-parenting can sometimes feel like playing a never-ending game of “Hot Potato” – but at least we get to keep the kids! 😉
Kristin Cavallari openly talked about the difficulties she faces while co-parenting with her ex-spouse, Jay Cutler, during a recent interview on the Dumb Blonde podcast. As a former reality TV personality, she delved into their complex relationship history and mused over their contentious divorce. The pair, who were married from 2013 to 2020, are parents to three kids: Camden (age 12), Jaxon (age 10), and Saylor (age 9).
Cavallari openly acknowledged that the co-parenting experience has been challenging and far from simple. She even went so far as to say that Cutler’s inconsistency in their arrangements has made the journey particularly rocky.
Even amidst challenges, Cavallari spoke about a favorable encounter they had recently – they both attended their son’s basketball match this year without any disagreements.
Earlier in the year, we attended a basketball game together, and she exclaimed something like, ‘Wow, this is simply amazing! It feels incredible that we’re here. Look at us, side by side!’
Instead, Cavallari noted that such instances are infrequent. Furthermore, she admitted that she can’t recall the last time they didn’t share a seat together.
Heather Locklear, formerly of “The Hills,” expressed worries about celebrating future holidays as a family. She mentioned that it’s troubling for her not to have a family together during Christmas, yet she made it clear that she has no intention of reconciling with Cutler.
As a lifestyle advocate, I can share my personal insights on past relationships – and one that stood out was the one I shared with Cutler. While I’ve come to realize it carried a toxic undertone, I must admit there were positive aspects to it too. Looking back, I have no regrets about our journey together. Interestingly, this relationship echoed my relationship with my father, who I described as narcissistic.
In the podcast, Cavallari discussed persistent gossip concerning Cutler allegedly having an affair with their co-star from Very Cavallari, Kelly Henderson. She initially harbored suspicions about these rumors, which she felt were used to belittle her by Jay. Now, she believes that if a man speaks negatively about a woman, there might be some truth to the relationship between them.
According to Cavallari, she’s advanced past her marriage with Cutler and, unfortunately, he hasn’t offered an apology. She emphasized that neither then nor now did she expect one. However, she shared a sentiment of forgiveness, explaining that it’s possible for her to show compassion and let go, even without him being part of her life.
