Kristen Bell Says She’d Like THIS Popular Actress To Play Anna In Potential Live-Action Frozen Movie; Find Out

As a dedicated movie enthusiast with a keen eye for talent and a deep appreciation for versatile actors, I wholeheartedly agree with Kristen Bell‘s choice of Joey King to play Anna in Disney’s live-action Frozen. With her impressive acting range, demonstrated in films like The Dark Knight Rises, The Conjuring, and Independence Day: Resurgence, not to mention her youthful charm that perfectly captures the spirit of Anna, Joey King is an ideal choice for this role.

Kristen Bell has expressed her ideas about who could portray Anna in the upcoming live-action version of Disney’s Frozen film. But for this potential casting to happen, the movie needs to be made quickly rather than at a later date. One of Disney’s biggest hits from 2013 was Frozen, which swiftly climbed to the top of the charts.

However, for those watching, the thrilling rendition is the live-action version of Frozen. During a chat with Elle for the promotion of their latest project, Nobody Wants This, alongside co-star Adam Brody, Bell was inquired about who she would prefer to see portray Anna in a live-action Frozen reboot.

She jokingly asked, “From a real-life scenario, then?” Bell pondered over numerous actors in Hollywood that would fit their age requirement. Eventually, she settled on the choice of Joey King, best known for her role in the Netflix movie series The Kissing Booth.

In a loose interpretation, Anna, who serves as the princess of the fictional Scandinavian kingdom called Arendelle and is also Elsa’s younger sister, bears resemblance to the character Gerda from Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen fairy tale.

In the 2013 movie “Frozen”, following her sister’s self-exile from the kingdom due to an unintended magical winter spell, Anna embarks on a dangerous voyage to reunite Elsa at home. Joining forces with Elsa, Kristoff (her love interest), and Sven (Kristoff’s reindeer friend), she is among the five main characters in the Frozen film series.

Back in 2008, I made my silver screen debut in the animated masterpiece, Horton Hears A Who! Little did I know then that this would be just the beginning of an incredible journey. Following closely on its heels was my portrayal of Ramona Quimby in Ramona and Beezus, which catapulted me into the limelight. Now, at the ripe age of mid-20s, I’m still landing those dream roles that any fanatic like myself could only dream of!

Among the films in which King has acted, you’ll find The Dark Knight Rises (2012), The Conjuring (2013), Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Bullet Train (2022), and more recently, A Family Affair (2024) and Despicable Me 4 (2024).
