KRAFTON acquires Last Epoch developer

South Korean company KRAFTON has acquired Eleventh Hour Games, the developer of Last Epoch.

Currently, the game director and company owner, Judd Cobler, shared some insights. He mentioned that our studio currently employs more than 100 individuals who are actively working on this specific project. Additionally, he’s been searching for a possible collaborator for the past year.

Today, I’m thrilled to share some exhilarating news! Eleventh Hour Games is linking up with KRAFTON, the power behind PUBG, who’s equally passionate about action ARPGs like us. They’re ready to help turbocharge our mission to make Last Epoch the crème de la crème of ARPGs. With this collaboration, we’ll have the means and muscle to bring our vision to life!

Among numerous possibilities, KRAFTON emerged as our top choice due to their clear alignment with our objectives and their ability to support and guide us through significant future obstacles as a studio. This collaboration will empower us to accomplish dreams we’ve held previously, and I look forward to revealing more details about these exciting developments in the near future.

It appears that growth coincides with acquiring more resources, as indicated by the game director. In the coming days, the studio is planning to recruit personnel for various positions.

In the year 2024, a role-playing game set in fantasy realms called Last Epoch made its debut. At its height, it boasted an impressive number of over 264,000 simultaneous players. These days, you’ll typically find between 3,000 to 4,000 users online during the busiest hours of each day.
