It has been confirmed that “KPOP Demon Hunters” holds the record as Netflix’s most-viewed movie in history. This information was disclosed by Netflix, stating that with a staggering 236 million views, it now stands as the most popular Netflix film to date. What an exciting announcement for the streaming service! However, what could be even more significant is that “KPOP Demon Hunters” also ranks as its first number one box office hit.
Based on reports from CNBC, “KPop Demon Hunters” reportedly dominated the box office over the weekend, earning between $16 million and $18 million in ticket sales. The estimates were shared anonymously by distribution executives from three different studios due to Netflix’s policy of not disclosing ticket sales figures. Some sources suggest that the movie may have even made around $20 million during its theater run. Interestingly, “KPop Demon Hunters” reached the top of the box office without being screened at the popular AMC Theaters chain, as AMC chose not to show the film. However, this didn’t stop “KPop Demon Hunters” from securing two first-place finishes in total.
For those unaware, “KPOP Demon Hunters” is Netflix’s popular musical production that has been captivating audiences with its vibrant visuals and stunning animation. The tickets for its sing-along screenings were snapped up incredibly quickly. Consequently, it doesn’t come as a shock to learn that this movie tops the charts everywhere.
Among all Netflix films ever released, none have garnered more popularity than “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS,” boasting a whopping 236 million views.
