The initial installment of Kowloon Generic Romance presented Reiko Kujirai, portraying her routine within the digitally reimagined Kowloon Walled City, referred to as Generic Terra. She’s employed at Wong Loi Realty alongside her colleague Hajime Kudo. Due to eyesight troubles, she relies on eye drops from Hebinuma Pharmaceuticals, a company Kudo expresses skepticism towards.

After wrapping up work, Kudo escorts her to Sunset Street and later the Goldfish Teahouse, suggesting she explore unique traits to jog her memory. After suffering from heatstroke and an unexpected kiss, Reiko stumbles upon a picture of herself with Kudo, sparking realization about her amnesia.

 

In Episode 2 of “Kowloon Generic Romance,” Reiko develops a friendship with a resident named Yo Mei, who dwells on South Orange Street. She opens up to him about her discomfort over a picture that presents her and Kudo as an engagement keepsake. This leads her to ponder her own identity, as she can’t recall events from her past.

Gradually, she’ll come to acknowledge her growing affection towards Kudo. Simultaneously, Hebinuma Pharmaceuticals plans to unveil a fresh medical center in Kowloon. Reiko, Yo Mei, and their companion Oguro opt to explore the premises jointly for a complimentary health and beauty evaluation, which may result in some intriguing interactions. This episode will mirror manga chapter 9 and beyond.
