Following the success of Stellar Blade, the South Korean gaming industry is eager for its next blockbuster title. Developers MADNGINE and publisher WEMADE MAX are hoping their new game, Project TAL, will be it.
The upcoming game, planned for release on PC and consoles in 2027, is a single-player, open-world action RPG. It’s set in Korean mythology, a rarely seen setting for major, high-budget games.
In Project TAL, players can climb onto large enemies to perform powerful attacks, target enemy weaknesses to change the course of combat, and team up with responsive AI companions.
As a fan, I’m really excited about TAL’s companions! They’re not just there for show – each one has their own special moves and skills, and they’re designed to really help you out in different situations. What’s even cooler is they don’t just do the same things over and over. They actually respond to what’s happening around them and what I’m doing! I’ve heard they can even save you if you get knocked off an enemy, or put up a shield to block attacks. It sounds like they’ll make teamwork feel super natural and effective.
I’m so hyped about Project TAL! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be an amazing action RPG with a really touching story about fixing a broken world. WEMADE MAX is teaming up with MADNGINE, and they’re really going all-out to make this a huge, top-quality open-world game that can compete with the best out there. Myun-seok Son, one of the co-CEOs, seems really confident about it, and honestly, I am too!
