Kit Harington Celebrates Daughter’s First Steps: ‘Couldn’t Be More Blessed’

His journey from Winterfell to the bustling world of Industry is nothing short of inspiring, but it’s his personal life that truly warms my heart. The news of his little girl taking her first steps just adds another layer of joy to an already fantastic year.

Actor Kit Harington, well-known in Hollywood, is overjoyed and full of celebration for multiple reasons. During interviews for the upcoming third season of Industry on HBO, he announced with excitement that his young toddler has just started taking her first steps.

As a proud father of two adorable little angels, I can’t help but feel a pang of longing as I juggle my duties as a performer and a parent. Just the other day, my little girl took her first steps – a milestone that filled me with immense joy, yet left me yearning for the precious moments I am missing while away in London. With a boy and a girl now, I feel incredibly blessed and overwhelmed by their beauty, grace, and charm. They are truly the most beautiful children I have ever seen, and every time I look at them, my heart swells with love. Being apart from them is undeniably challenging, but the unconditional love they shower upon me makes it all worthwhile. The joy they bring to my life is immeasurable, and I cherish every moment we have together.

Last year, the actor became a father together with his wife, Rose Leslie. Their representative verified this exciting news to PEOPLE magazine in July of 2023.

In June 2018, I was privileged to witness Harington and Leslie exchanging vows. Interestingly enough, it was during season two of Game of Thrones that we first saw them together on screen, but according to Leslie, our paths crossed much earlier than our roles as castmates suggest.

“Kit is not only charming and hilarious, but also a cherished friend. We had been acquainted before we collaborated on ‘Game of Thrones’. Working alongside him was an honor, and it made our friendship off-screen truly valuable as it added authenticity to our characters.” This woman shared in June 2014 with PEOPLE.

On February 3rd, Harington initially disclosed their upcoming family expansion during an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, radiating his enthusiasm about embarking on this fresh chapter together.

Apart from jokingly mentioning that their son is in for a big surprise with the birth of his new sister, Harington – who usually keeps his eldest child away from public glare – has freely discussed some aspects of his parenting journey and the happiness he’s experienced as a father.
