Many people believe in the power of manifesting your desires, and wanting to earn a lot of money is a common one. Actress Kirsten Dunst openly admitted this was her motivation for potentially returning for a sequel to A Minecraft Movie. She told Variety in 2025 she’d be interested in the role both for the financial opportunity and because her children are fans of the game – both perfectly reasonable reasons! Now, Deadline reports that Dunst will indeed be starring in the A Minecraft Movie sequel, though details about her role are still being kept secret.
The sequel will reunite Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Matt Berry, and Jennifer Coolidge. While the story is still a secret, it’s not a huge concern – the original movie was a massive success, earning close to a billion dollars globally, so expectations are high for this next installment.
Kirsten Dunst is incredibly good at getting what she wants, and it looks like her children will have the fun experience of attending many red carpet events as a result. It’s a perfect outcome for everyone involved!
The Minecraft sequel film will release on July 23, 2027.
