Kirsten Corley Files for Divorce From Chance the Rapper Eight Months After Amicable Separation: Details

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for detail, I must say that the journey of Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley is indeed a rollercoaster of love, separation, and reunions – a tale as compelling as any blockbuster romance. Their story is not just about music or fame, but rather the intricate dance of life, family, and relationships that unfold over time.

Kirsten Corley has formally filed for divorce from music artist Chance the Rapper on December 13th. They had previously announced their separation earlier in the year.

TMZ was the first to report Corley’s divorce filing.

Chance and his wife announced on Instagram in April that they’ve chosen to end their relationship after some time apart. They made this choice harmoniously, expressing appreciation for the shared moments they experienced.

Known for his hip-hop skills, this celebrity has two daughters, Kensli (age 9) and Marlie (age 5), with Corley. The court documents did not disclose if Corley was pursuing child support. In a joint statement released in April, the separated pair discussed their intentions to jointly raise their kids.

At a company gathering with his mother, Chancelor Bennett (known as Chance) encountered the woman who would later become his partner, when he was just nine years old. Years later, they crossed paths again at the Southwest Film Festival in 2012, sparking a romantic relationship shortly thereafter.

In September 2015, their first child, Kensli, was born to the pair. She was their daughter. However, there was a brief separation in 2016 when Corley filed a petition with the Cook County Circuit Court seeking recognition of Chance as the father and ordering child support. According to the Chicago Tribune, this happened. But in January 2017, she withdrew her filing after reconciling with him. The very next month, Chance expressed gratitude towards his wife and daughter while accepting a Grammy award.

They got married in March 2019, following Chance’s proposal at a Fourth of July party in their backyard the previous year. Their high-profile wedding in Newport Beach, California, was graced by numerous A-list friends of Chance, such as Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Dave Chappelle.

In August 2019, they had their second baby girl named Marlie. Corley shared a photo of the newborn on Instagram to announce the birth. After welcoming his second child, Chance delayed some tour dates. He mentioned this through social media, expressing that he wanted to devote more time to his family since he had missed important milestones with his older daughter.

During the unprecedented COVID-19 lockdown, I, a passionate admirer, found myself hunkering down alongside Chance and his delightful duo of daughters. As I shared in an intimate chat with People, our days were brimming with joy as we engaged in endless games, danced like no one was watching, and savored the magic of cartoons together.
