In the game, there’s an optional mission called “The Thunderstone.” Your task is to recover the famous protective charm, which goes by the name of the Thunderstone. Here’s a full rundown on how you can finish the “Thunderstone” quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
How To Start The Thunderstone in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The journey for this task begins in the village of Grund, nestled within the Kuttenberg area. To initiate the mission, seek out Kona, who resides in her home within the village. She’s in dire need of an unusual talisman known as the Thunderstone, and will provide you with details about it when you speak to her.
It turns out that the Thunderstone is presently under the possession of Thomlin from Horschan. Later on, Kona might challenge you to a duel because Thomlin often bets the Thunderstone during fights. Interestingly, there’ll be an opportunity for you to take the Thunderstone, but Kona prefers not to do so as she thinks it could lead to bad fortune.
How To Get the Thunderstone From Thomlin in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Upon arriving at Horschan, there are several methods to obtain the Thunderstone. One option is attempting to steal it, but the one he has doesn’t correspond with Kona’s details, exposing it as a forgery.
Instead of issuing a challenge, you could engage Thomlin in combat. To do so, you’ll need to pass one of three difficult dialogue tests. However, if you’ve accomplished the task ‘Fight Dirty’, you can take on Thomlin regardless. Once you’ve put up 500 Groschen and are ready to show your fighting prowess, Thomlin will admit that he no longer possesses the Thunderstone.
He’ll guide you to Peter and Hensel in Raborsch, two individuals he believes possess his Thunderstone. After chatting with Peter, he will disclose that he too misplaced the stone. Additionally, he hints that Hensel has been abducted by robbers.
How To Rescue Hensel From the Bandits
Upon locating the bandit camp, several choices present themselves. Given that these bandits aren’t open to negotiations, you’ll need to rescue Hensel alone. You can choose between a stealthy approach to free him without causing a ruckus or escalating the situation by adding seven men to Henry’s tally of defeated foes. Waiting until night would generally be the wisest course of action in this scenario.
After Hensel is released, he’ll confirm that the stone was given to Mlada in Suchdol. Once you converse with Mlada, she will propose the Thunderstone as a reward if you aid her husband, Peter. If you agree, this initiates the task Primum Nil Nocere. Another option is to use the hammer for every nail and seize it from her instead.
Who Should You Give the Thunderstone To
After acquiring the Thunderstone, you now have multiple paths to choose from. You could firstly entertain Thomlin’s questionable reasons and hand it back to him, or stick to your original goal and deliver it to Kona. A third option is to retain the Thunderstone for yourself, which would provide you with advantages related to your stamina.
The buffs from the Thunderstone are:
- 10% bonus to Stamina Regeneration
- 5% bonus to Block and Attack Stamina Regeneration
- 10% reduction in Stamina Consumption
If you hand over the stone to Thomlin, you’ll get 150 Groschen or a complimentary Unarmed class in return. Alternatively, if you pass it on to Kona, she will offer you a discount at the Horse Dealer, some Alchemy experience, and 100 Groschen (this is optional). You also have the choice to secretly take the stone from either person after giving it to them, should you wish to do so.
