Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Protagonist’s Voice Actor Teases Knowing The Future of the Franchise

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement after learning that Tom McKay, the captivating voice actor behind Henry from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has expressed his readiness to continue portraying this iconic character in potential future installments! In an engaging interview with Dan Allen on YouTube, McKay hinted at having some insights into where the series might be headed next. For all Kingdom Come enthusiasts like myself, it’s a thrilling prospect to delve further into Henry’s journey and uncover what lies ahead for this beloved franchise. Don’t miss out on the interview below!

When Allen inquired about his feelings towards Henry not being the main character in the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance series installment, McKay expressed that he’d welcome any suggestions or concepts.

McKay noted, “Acting-wise, it would be quite similar.” He’s receptive to various suggestions. We have a clear understanding of what’s coming up next. Unfortunately, I can’t discuss any of that, but I believe the decisions aren’t ours to make. I’m keeping an open mind and eagerly accepting all ideas. I adore this character and the game’s world.

He went on to say, ‘I’m not sure how long this role will last, but I’m content with it regardless. The decision ultimately lies with Warhorse, but the fans play a significant part in shaping the story. They influence what we do and think about, and I believe that’s perfectly fitting.’

Previously, it’s been clear that McKay found pleasure in his role as the voice of Henry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. In a chat back in February, he referred to the job as a rare and intriguing acting hurdle.

McKay explained that the process he was describing involved taking a particular route, then halfway reversing it and choosing another path, possibly returning to the starting point before moving forward again. He pointed out that such a pattern is unlike anything encountered in television or film acting.

In the beginning of February, “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” made its debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This sequel has garnered much acclaim, even earning favorable reviews from us. In fact, a week after its release, the developers at Warhorse shared a trailer showcasing all of the positive feedback it received.

The game has experienced significant commercial success, as evidenced by its swift sales figures. Within weeks of launch, developer Warhorse announced they had sold over 2 million copies of the game.

While in progress, Warhorse Studios has consistently provided updates for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, free of charge. The latest update, rolled out earlier this week, addresses over a thousand bugs, enhances modding support, and introduces Barber Mode, allowing players to tailor Henry’s hairstyle and facial hair to their liking.

As a dedicated gamer diving back into the rich world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve got some substantial expansions on the way! The first one, Brushes With Death, is set to drop between April and June 2025. Next up, we’ve got Legacy of the Forge lined up for July to September 2025. Lastly, Mysteria Eccleiae will be available from October to December 2025. Can’t wait to embark on these new adventures with you all!
