Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lead teases “something new on the horizon” as the action RPG’s final DLC goes live, sparking speculation about Warhorse’s next project

With the release of the final downloadable content for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, called Mysteria Ecclesia, the development team thanked fans for their support. Interestingly, one of the lead developers also hinted at the possibility of future content, leaving players wondering what might come next.

Prokop Jirsa, the lead designer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, recently thanked players on Discord for their support throughout the year. He explained that their feedback was invaluable in refining the game and its downloadable content, adding, “I just want to say thank you, sincerely.”

He then added a quick note: “Don’t go anywhere just yet. Something new is coming, and I’d like you to stick around to see what happens.” It feels like he’s hinting at a continuation of some kind, though it’s unclear exactly what that might be.

The most popular comment on Reddit wonders if he was simply referring to a new game from Warhorse Studios. However, many are hoping it hints at something connected to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. People are speculating about possibilities like continuing Henry’s story, the main character from the Kingdom Come games, or perhaps a game set in the Viking era.

Warhorse Studios revealed in its October financial report that it began developing new games in January, shortly before the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Given that the team has only released these two games so far, it’s likely they’re planning to create a new game series, capitalizing on the success of their historical role-playing titles.

Warhorse Studios hasn’t revealed what their next game will be about, but they’ve confirmed it will still be a role-playing game. They believe taking several years to develop it is a good thing, as it will allow players to fully enjoy Deliverance 2 before they’re ready for something new.
