Summary
- Official mod support is coming to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
- There’s no release window yet, but Warhorse Studio teases that players will be able to “create, tweak, and expand [their] medieval adventure”.
- In 2025, we can also expect three paid expansions and a string of free updates, like Hardcore Mode.
The creators at Warhorse Studios have revealed that custom mods will be available for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, hinting playfully at a scene featuring the protagonist, Henry, astride a striped zebra with a sword-shaped fish in hand.
According to IGN, the Steam blog didn’t provide much additional information. There’s no confirmed release date or details on how it will function at this time, but Warhorse Studios has expressed their intention to enable players to create, customize, and expand their medieval adventure within Bohemia.
Support from officials in enabling modifications has significantly contributed to RPGs continuing to prosper even after their creators have moved on. Games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 remain active thanks to the Creation Club, while more recently, Baldur’s Gate 3 introduced official mod support for both PC and console platforms prior to its final update. This move has already ignited the development of whole custom campaigns, ensuring the game will stay significant and engaging for many years ahead.

Though official mod support hasn’t been introduced just yet, rest assured that you can always obtain mods from sites such as Nexus in the meantime.
So far, we’ve encountered mods that can turn your shoes invincible, grow a beard on Henry, and allow players like Hans Capon to join the game. However, the true gauge of its community’s potential lies in how swiftly they introduce CJ and The Witcher armor sets into the game.
