Accepting or Declining Erik’s Duel Invitation
- Dueling Erik
In the part of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 known as “Point of No Return,” Civitas Pragensis is the second mission on the list. Interestingly, it’s among the shortest quests in this game.
Making some choices along the way can significantly alter the final result of the task or mission.
In the city of Prague, we see Henry engaged in a duel with Erik, a man filled with anger due to the fact that Henry had slain Istvan Toth.
When chatting with Erik, you’ll find an option where you can lower his abilities during our conversation, making our subsequent duel less challenging for you.
If you find yourself stuck on the Civitas Pragensis quest within Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, here’s a helpful walkthrough to assist you.
Enjoying the Celebration

The first objective of Civitas Pragensis is to speak to everyone at the celebratory party.
Feel free to approach this series of events in any order that suits you. While there’s just one compulsory task, which is talking to Ruthard, it would greatly enhance the narrative flow if you also chat with Janosh and the rest of the characters.
When talking to Janosh, it’s immediately clear that he’s in a low spirits, despite Sigismund having withdrawn. Janosh confides in Henry that our heavy losses have left emotional scars that even victory can’t mend.
Afterwards, address Dry Devil, Katherine, and Samuel. They are raising a toast in memory of their fallen companions. When they inquire about who you would like to pay tribute to as well, please let them know.
Now, it’s your turn to converse with Ruthard, expressing your farewell. He’ll express his gratitude for the effort put into freeing him and his companions from imprisonment. You may discuss travels ahead or mention Sigismund and Jobst during the conversation. Following this dialogue, a cutscene will commence.
Accepting or Declining Erik’s Duel Invitation

As I gallop towards the fortress atop my steed, my comrades stand astonished, for they thought me slain. Yet here I am, bearing a missive, challenging none other than Henry to a fateful duel.
If I take up this challenge, I’ll hop on my steed and race to Erik’s spot for a showdown. But if I choose not to engage in this duel, the main quest of Civitas Pragensis will be wrapped up instead.
Dueling Erik
If you choose to take on Erik’s duel, there are opportunities to weaken him by skillfully engaging in conversations.
It appears that the duel becomes significantly simpler when you manage to pass the two dialogue checks at your disposal, especially if your speech skills are strong. Keep this in mind as failure could make the combat more challenging for you.
In order to defeat Erik, you should take advantage of Master Strikes and Stab attacks. Given that his armor is incredibly tough, it’s essential to equip yourself with a weapon that has impressive stats. For this challenge, I’d suggest using either a Sword or a Hammer for optimal results.
Once you’ve vanquished Erik definitively, the Civitas Pragensis mission will be wrapped up, paving the way for you to embark on the “So It Begins” primary quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
