Kingdom Come 2 Source of Inspiration: Where to find Valerian and the Veles shrine

In the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, titled Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll encounter our eccentric painter friend once his belongings have been returned and the Brushes with Death DLC has begun. At Trosky Castle, he will assign you a mission to discover the worship practices of Pagans prior to Christianity’s dominance, as he seeks inspiration for his next masterpiece. Specifically, he requests your help in locating a hidden shrine dedicated to Veles, one of the ancient deities, to uncover more about the faith they once held.

This situation is challenging due to the fact that our only clue is an elderly lady with a less-than-perfect memory. Extracting useful information from her can be tricky, as what she provides often seems vague or not very helpful. Let’s guide you through this quest, starting with locating the Valerian flowers for the woman and then directing you to the shrine dedicated to Veles where we need to go next.

The old woman suggests that growing some of her favorite blooms could aid in remembering things better. She recommends venturing northward from the cottage, following the stream, as that’s where you’ll likely find them. If you journey far enough, you’ll come across round, white flowers resembling balls, which are perfect for gathering to fulfill the five Valerian requirements.

Next, it’s important to obtain a Tailor’s Set and mend her worn dress, followed by reciting some verses to her. This task includes a sequence of ability tests. The more successful you are in this final stage, the more details she will reveal about the hidden shrine’s location.

As a fan, I’d guide you towards the lead situated way down south on your map, nestled amidst the forest south of Semine and west of Nebakov Fortress. Once you reach there, be prepared to deal with a group of bandits loitering around. After you’ve cleared them out, venture closer to the colossal rock carving that lies ahead. Keep pressing the “Look Around” button until Henry reacts to the sight, then move in for a closer look. You’ll find a bloodied corpse before the shrine.

Here’s what I suggest: This action asks you to go back to the artist and escort him to the sanctuary, where he can finalize his artwork and accomplish the mission.
