The time has come for a familiar figure to reappear: not Aragorn from “The Lord of the Rings,” but rather the one and only Hank Hill, who’s known as the king of his hill. Yes, you heard it right! Hank is back in all his straightforward, grumpy splendor, and this go-around, he’s confronting challenges that Aragorn could scarcely imagine overcoming. Challenges like those posed by vegans, craft beers with exotic flavors, shared restrooms for all genders, and, oh boy, soccer! In the revival of “King of the Hill,” also known as season 14, Hank is squaring off… against contemporary life. And that encompasses (among other things) vegans, fruity ales, gender-neutral bathrooms, and the true terror, soccer. You can watch the entire trailer for the “King of the Hill” revival series below.
It’s great to see that the “King of the Hill” revival is back with its familiar shenanigans, as evidenced by the full trailer for season 14. The usual characters are all present and accounted for – Hank Hill, Peggy Hill, their son Bobby, and Hank’s group of friends like Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. After a brief absence from Texas in “King of the Hill” season 14, Hank and Peggy find themselves immersed in all that contemporary America has to offer once more. We wonder if Hank Hill can adapt to the changing times in this “King of the Hill” revival, but we’re confident he will, in his own traditional style.
In a unique and sometimes humorous manner, King of the Hill has consistently been ahead of its time, addressing challenging issues in a way that resonates with diverse viewers. This upcoming season 14 appears to uphold that tradition, as hinted by the trailer. Frankly, given current times, it seems particularly relevant.
In addition to releasing a trailer for the comeback, King of the Hill has also unveiled a summary for its season 14. The narrative reveals that Hank and Peggy Hill, who spent years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to secure their retirement savings, are back in Arlen, Texas after many years. They aim to rekindle relationships with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Simultaneously, Bobby is thriving as a chef in Dallas and embracing his 20s alongside Connie, Joseph, and Chane, his former classmates.
The series features actors such as Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, Toby Huss, and more recently, Ronny Chieng.
The revival for “King of the Hill” premieres on Monday, August 4, featuring a total of 10 episodes. Until then, catch up on the original series by streaming it on Hulu.
