One reason King Gizzard is so captivating is their unpredictability. You can never quite pin down their sound – they’re capable of exploring any fantastic corner of rock music.

I was so excited when the band’s latest album, Phantom Island, came out in June 2025! And knowing them, I’m already anticipating another one – they don’t usually keep us waiting long. What really surprised and pleased me about Phantom Island is how they moved away from their heavier metal sound and incorporated a lot more orchestral elements. Honestly, it’s a fantastic change and it really works!
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are known for their incredible live performances. Australian fans can catch them on tour in the next few weeks, and they’ll be heading to the United States in 2026 with most of the shows happening in New York City – so start planning your trip!
