Kim Kardashian’s 15,000 USD Bid for Late Father Rob’s Bible Rejected by O.J. Simpson’s Estate; Here’s Why

More recently, Kim Kardashian made an effort to acquire a Bible that previously belonged to O.J. Simpson. This holy book had a personal inscription from her deceased father, Robert Kardashian Sr.

Instead of purchasing a religious text valued at $15,000 that holds emotional significance to her family, the founder of SKIMS found it couldn’t be bought due to the fact that it had already been agreed for sale by the executors of Simpson’s estate via Goldin Auctions.

Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of the estate, explained to PEOPLE that he had no option but to decline Kim Kardashian’s proposal due to the low price. “The cost is what left me with no choice,” he said. “Why would I use $15,000 from the estate, why would I spend $15,000 on legal fees, just to sell it to Kim for $15,000?

“It’s a situation where one party’s gain is another party’s loss. It’s not an effective business strategy. Had Kim proposed $150,000 for the item, we’d be in legal proceedings to get that deal approved, rather than through the auction.

In June 1994, Robert Kardashian Sr., a close friend and lawyer for Simpson, presented him with a special edition of The Bible (known as The Living Bible) about a month after Simpson was taken into custody over the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Kardashian had written an emotional note inside this book.

In a note written in blue ballpoint pen, Kardashian expressed, “O.J., this book is going to assist you.” He emphasized that God cares deeply and communicates through His words. Kardashian recommended reading the book every day, suggesting that God has a specific purpose for your life. As his child, God will re-use you, he wrote. Lastly, Kardashian conveyed his own love, as well as God’s love, for O.J.

I’m currently keeping an eye on the auction at Goldin Auctions for a Bible, with the highest bid standing at $9,800 so far. The sale continues until March 30, providing me with a chance to join the bidding. LaVergne hinted that there might be a possibility of securing it for less than $15,000.
