Kim Kardashian’s 10 Million USD Paris Robbery Suspect Reveals WHY He Regrets It: ‘Not Because I Got Caught…’

The individual accused of Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery during the fashion week in October 2016 admits he feels remorseful as the trial commences. On that fateful day, Kardashian was bound and threatened with a firearm, resulting in her losing jewelry valued at approximately $10 million.

One of the individuals charged with taking part in a robbery has made a public statement expressing remorse. On April 29th, Yunice Abbas, aged 71 and one of ten defendants on trial, testified in court. He declared that the emotional harm caused by the 2016 robbery was deeply regrettable.

During his court testimony on April 29, as reported by NBC News, Abbas expressed remorse not due to being caught, but rather because… the act caused him distress or pain.

In 2021, Abbas, a co-author of the book titled “I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian,” admitted guilt for the robbery. However, he clarified that the title was misleading. He explained that instead of entering Kardashian’s hotel room, he had merely waited outside.

According to Abbas, he didn’t personally gain financially from the book. He mentioned that any income generated is currently being saved for potential use after the trial concludes.

The robbery occurred in October 2016, coinciding with Paris Fashion Week. A group of five robbers wearing masks raided Kim Kardashian’s hotel room while her sister Kourtney Kardashian was out with their bodyguard. Kim was held captive, restrained, and forced to relinquish her jewelry during the incident.

During the theft, several high-value items such as Cartier bracelets, diamond earrings, a gold Rolex watch, and Kanye West’s $4 million engagement ring were among the stolen loot. Following the crime, French law enforcement apprehended 17 suspects in January 2017. Currently, ten of these individuals have been formally accused of armed robbery and kidnapping charges.

According to People, it’s said that Kim Kardashian, who is 44 years old, will personally appear to testify. Previously, she had stated that the thieves were tracking her movements on social media. She disclosed back in 2017, during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians on Snapchat, that she was by herself in the hotel room at that time.
