‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ Trailer Unleashes Tarantino’s Full Vision

Quentin Tarantino’s complete version of Kill Bill is coming to cinemas. Titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, it will be shown on December 5th, letting audiences watch the entire story as one continuous movie instead of the two parts they’re used to.

Lionsgate just dropped the official trailer, and it shows this four-hour cut includes everything Quentin Tarantino originally intended for the film.

I remember when Kill Bill Vol. 1 came out – it was such a blast! The martial arts action, the crazy violence, and that whole grindhouse vibe were totally unique. Then, just six months later, Vol. 2 arrived, and it was different – a little more relaxed, with a bigger focus on the characters and their conversations. Both movies together tell the story of Beatrix Kiddo’s revenge, and Tarantino has always said he envisioned them as one long, complete film, which makes so much sense when you watch them back-to-back.

Finally, fans can experience the complete story of The Bride with The Whole Bloody Affair. This new version combines both parts of the film into one showing, starting with the action-packed fights and vibrant violence of the first half, and then transitioning into the more emotional, dialogue-driven, and Western-style feel of the second half.

This updated version includes some exciting new content. According to Cartoon Brew, a completely new animated sequence—around seven and a half minutes long—has been added. It delves deeper into the backstory of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, the group Beatrix used to work with before they turned against her. The animation is expected to be just as visually striking as the anime-inspired flashback sequence featured in O-Ren Ishii’s story from the original film.

Quentin Tarantino has added a 10-minute break halfway through the film. According to Lionsgate, this intermission is designed to give viewers a chance to relax and mentally prepare for the shift in the movie’s tone. Tarantino previously used this approach for special showings of The Hateful Eight, aiming to recreate the feeling of a traditional moviegoing experience.

Fans can experience The Whole Bloody Affair as director Quentin Tarantino intended: in select theaters using classic 35mm and 70mm film. This isn’t just about seeing the movie—it’s about having a real, immersive cinematic event.
