Kevin Feige Hints at a Future for Eternals in the MCU, Future of Inhumans Still Unclear

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) immersion under my belt, I must say that the recent D23 Marvel Studios panel left me both excited and perplexed. The glimpse into future projects like ‘Thunderbolts’ and ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ has certainly stirred up anticipation, yet the future of beloved characters such as Deadpool, Wolverine, and even the enigmatic Blade remains a tantalizing mystery.

The D23 Marvel Studios event in Brazil has concluded, offering a wealth of fresh insights into the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming projects. These included glimpses at forthcoming films and animated series, as well as exclusive previews of ‘Thunderbolts’ and a fresh trailer for ‘Captain America: Brave New World’.

Following the occurrence, representatives from Cinepop managed to engage in conversation with Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios. He hinted at a vibrant future for Deadpool and Wolverine within the MCU and affirmed that Mahershala Ali remains attached to the role of Blade, despite the film appearing to be in limbo during development.

In passing, Feige touched upon the subject of the film The Eternals. This was the initial major production launched post-Endgame, yet it failed to impress. The narrative was overly ambitious, and audiences struggled to identify with the characters. However, Feige remains proud of the movie and expresses hope that these characters might resurface in the Marvel Cinematic Universe down the line.

I’m really thrilled about the Eternals film. The cast was simply outstanding. If we’re fortunate enough, maybe we’ll see some of them reprising their roles in the future.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve heard whispers about the upcoming Eternals 2, but it seems the production has been paused following the underwhelming response to The Marvels. This hiccup in the Marvel universe has led the studio to reevaluate their strategies for future projects.

Later on, Feige delved into the potential introduction of the Inhumans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the initial Inhumans TV series was met with mixed responses due to its complex narrative and underdeveloped storyline. Viewers found it challenging to engage with the characters or the setting, as they seemed shallow and their intentions remained unclear.

In ‘Multiverse of Madness’, there was a brief appearance by Black Bolt, and it remains to be seen whether or not he’ll make another appearance in the future.
