As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for Marvel Comics and a keen eye for movie adaptations, I can hardly contain my excitement for ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’. The anticipation has been brewing ever since that first tantalizing glimpse of the movie during D23 Marvel Studios panel. The casting choices seem spot-on, with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, who I’m sure will make a formidable Thing.
“The movie ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is creating a lot of buzz in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With its release scheduled for July 25, 2025, fans have already caught glimpses of behind-the-scenes footage that hints at an authentic, comic book-aligned adventure.
In a different world setting, the film is set to present the Fantastic Four characters, alongside several of their iconic adversaries.
As a movie enthusiast, I was thrilled to learn that the filming for this upcoming project kicked off on July 30, 2024, right at Pinewood Studios in London. Guess what? It’s been dubbed as “Blue Moon” during production! That’s where my favorite director, Matt Shakman, and I have a history together from our work on the captivating series WandaVision. Can’t wait to see who’ll be behind the camera for this one!
Initially planned for a five-month span, the filming process encountered some setbacks, causing it to be rescheduled multiple times. Originally slated for 2023, it was then pushed back to early 2024 and eventually commenced in August 2024. This movie is being filmed using IMAX technology.
At the D23 Marvel Studios event held in Brazil, it was announced by Kevin Feige that the filming for the project is nearly complete, with just a few weeks remaining. Given this update, it’s reasonable to expect a trailer release around the corner.
A first look was also shown to those at the panel.

In the ensemble of “First Steps,” we find Pedro Pascal playing Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby stepping into Sue Storm’s shoes, Joseph Quinn taking on Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach assuming the character of Ben Grimm. Notably, Moss-Bachrach will utilize motion capture technology and CGI to bring The Thing to life in this production.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m all geared up to share some exciting news! I, for one, am thrilled to learn that Julia Garner will bring Shalla-Bal, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s take on Silver Surfer, to life on screen. Meanwhile, Ralph Ineson is set to embody Galactus, one of Marvel’s formidable antagonists.
