After taking a break following the conclusion of “City on a Hill” in 2022, Kevin Bacon is making his way back to our TV screens with “The Bondsman,” a fresh supernatural crime series now available on Prime Video.
Additionally, it brings him back to Amazon following his part in I Love Dick. In 2013, Bacon initially assumed a recurring role in a TV series titled The Following on Fox. On March 4th, the official trailer for The Bondsman premiered, providing fans with an initial glimpse of the actor’s action-packed return.
In the movie “The Bondsman,” Kevin Bacon portrays Hub Halloran, a reincarnated bounty hunter who was previously killed but granted a second life. But there’s a condition: He must pursue and capture escaped demons residing in Hell. The Devil himself resurrects Halloran, sending him on a perilous quest, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Jolene Purdy, portraying Midge, issues a warning to Halloran in the trailer: “Should you neglect any demon-related tasks assigned to you, there will be consequences, and you’ll be dismissed.” Throughout the series, Halloran employs his fists, firearms, and chainsaws to track down demons while simultaneously navigating issues with his distant family.
As Halloran navigates his demon-hunting adventures, we also uncover the path of his past mistakes that landed him in Hell. The series’ tagline hints at the possibility of a second chance at romance and perhaps an opportunity to excel in the realm of country music.
The Bondsman seamlessly combines otherworldly adventures with heartfelt narratives, setting it apart as a distinctive offering on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service. In this series, you’ll find Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Beth Grant, and Maxwell Jenkins in the leading roles.
Beginning on April 3rd, the complete 8-episode series of “The Bondsman” will debut on Prime Video, making it accessible to over 240 countries and territories worldwide. This intriguing production is a collaborative effort between Blumhouse Television, Marker 96, CrimeThink Production Company, and Amazon MGM Studios.
In this production setup, Erik Oleson holds the roles of showrunner and executive producer. Joining him in these positions are Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Chris McCumber, Bacon, Paul E. Shapiro, and the series creator Grainger David. Meanwhile, Erik Holmberg serves as a co-executive producer.
