Kelly Osbourne Claps Back at Social Media Trolls, Says Most Critics Are Women: “F— Off”

Kelly Osbourne has responded to online criticism about her appearance after her father, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away. In a video, the 41-year-old explained that she’s still grieving and trying to manage, asking people to be understanding.

During a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Kelly Osbourne addressed hurtful comments she’s received about her appearance. She explained, “It’s hard to even say this, but to those making jokes or being cruel by asking if I’m sick or accusing me of using Ozempic, my father recently passed away.”

She explained that her family is currently her only focus and reason for living. She chooses to share the positive aspects of her life online and doesn’t want to dwell on negativity, and she asked anyone who had a problem with that to leave her alone.

Kelly received negative comments on Instagram about her looks after posting photos and a video of herself reading. She responded by thanking her supporters and criticizing the unkind messages she’d been sent.

“What do you want from me? What do I even look like right now?” she asked. “Just the fact that I’m getting up, dealing with things, and even trying, should be enough. I deserve some credit for that.”

The celebrity publicly criticized those leaving hateful comments, pointing out that their negativity often reveals more about their own insecurities. She explained that she’s currently dealing with health issues and a difficult life change, and doesn’t appreciate the expectation to appear okay when she’s struggling. She added that unkind comments aren’t helping anyone involved.

Kelly Osbourne has responded to criticism about her looks online, saying she’s disturbed that most of the negative comments come from other women. She strongly defended herself, telling the commenters to ‘go fk yourself.’

Honestly, it’s been really upsetting to see people comparing my looks now to photos of me as a teenager. Of course faces change as you get older! But what’s really gotten to me is that so many of the negative comments are coming from other women. It’s just incredibly disheartening that instead of supporting each other, especially when someone is grieving – my dad recently passed – they choose to tear each other down. It’s frankly disgusting, and I’m not going to stand for it anymore.

During her interview, Sharon Osbourne discussed the negativity often found on social media. She explained that it often acts as a way for unhappy people to hide behind a screen, and that we frequently make judgments based on incomplete information. However, she questioned why anyone would waste time writing negative things about others. Osbourne ultimately expressed pity for those who engage in online negativity, suggesting they are likely dealing with unhappiness in their own lives.

Kelly spoke about how deeply grief can affect people, and how difficult it is to deal with criticism online. She urged the public to be more compassionate and understanding.
