Boots Riley, the director known for his unique and imaginative films like I’m a Virgo and Sorry to Bother You, is working on a new movie! We’re getting a first glimpse of I Love Boosters, a satirical comedy about a team of female shoplifters taking on a ruthless fashion industry leader. The film features Keke Palmer and Demi Moore as rivals in this wild heist – check out the intense red band trailer below.

The first thing that really stood out was the striking color scheme. It immediately grabbed my attention. The trailer opens with a tense scene between Keke Palmer and Will Poulter, both dressed head-to-toe in green – even his hair! While Poulter has worn single-color outfits before, this scene quickly establishes Palmer’s character as powerful, self-assured, and fiercely determined. When he asks what difficulties she might encounter working at a luxury fashion store, she responds with a bold statement: “I just want to take it all home, heat it up and shoot it out my eyes. I just feel like, ‘Give it to me. It’s mine anyway.’” That line perfectly sets the stage for a thrilling and captivating trailer. We’re definitely excited about this one.
The scene shifts to Corvette (Palmer) reuniting with her team, known as The Velvet Gang – a striking group of women including Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, and Naomi Ackie. Together, they break into a building, don elaborate disguises, and haul away loads of stolen clothes. The vibrant visuals and music set the tone for the exciting adventure ahead. Demi Moore plays the self-absorbed fashion industry leader, and we also catch quick looks at Don Cheadle and LaKeith Stanfield.
