Kathryn Hahn Reveals She Suggested Agatha’s Nude Scene in ‘Agatha All Along’

As a long-time Marvel fan and avid viewer of the MCU, I must say that “Agatha All Along” has truly lived up to my expectations! Despite some mixed reviews from critics, the show has been an absolute delight for fans like me who have been eagerly waiting for more stories within this universe.

The upcoming series, titled “Agatha All Along,” is currently generating buzz as a potential hit within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It’s a spinoff from the widely acclaimed series, “WandaVision.” Interestingly, this title has persisted throughout the production process, which is surprising given its past rebrandings. The first two episodes of the series premiered on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly until the series finale on November 6, 2024.

Initial predictions for the show hinted at a fun and engrossing journey; however, despite the evident eccentricity of Agatha All Along, critic reviews didn’t turn out to be as favorable as expected. Conversely, viewers have taken a liking to the series and have been showering it with high ratings.

Thankfully, the initial responses have improved, and the show is now thriving with popularity, allowing us to discuss various aspects related to it. At last. The series includes an intriguing nude scene of Agatha, which actress Kathryn Hahn disclosed was her idea to propose to the writers.

At the debut event, Kathryn Hahn’s character Agatha made Marvel Cinematic Universe history by being the first female character to expose her derriere. This is significant since we had previously seen Hulk in “Thor: Ragnarok” and Thor in “Thor: Love and Thunder” do the same. The humor added to this moment made it even more memorable, and as it turned out, Agatha was the one behind the scenes (pun intended).

In a chat with Variety, Kathryn Hahn admitted that it was her idea to include that particular scene in the show, so if you find it amusing or intriguing, she’s the one to thank (or perhaps “blame”) for it being part of the series.

“I conceived the idea to portray her in a very vulnerable state, symbolizing her current lack of power. In the storyline, she’s lost all her power at this stage. Essentially, she was powerless and had nothing left, so the focus became on showing how far she still needs to come to reclaim her strength.

Kathryn expressed doubt about whether she would put on a robe, stating that she didn’t think she would do so, implying she wouldn’t mind being naked in front of the neighbors. I responded by saying ‘That’s an amazing suggestion.’ The idea of featuring Kathryn Hahn’s nudity in the MCU was particularly intriguing to me, considering her extensive acting background and past nude roles. It also seemed quite subversive. Moreover, it perfectly captured her character and left me in stitches with laughter. To top it off, she looks absolutely stunning.
