Katherine Renee Kane To Leave FBI During Season 7? Find Out

As a dedicated fan who has been following FBI since its inception, I must admit that the news of Katherine Renee Kane leaving the show after Season 7 leaves me with a bittersweet feeling. On one hand, I’m excited about the prospect of seeing Lisette Olivera as Syd and the potential new dynamics she might bring to the table. On the other hand, I can’t help but feel a pang of sadness knowing that Tiffany Wallace, brilliantly portrayed by Kane, will no longer be a series regular.

According to Deadline’s latest updates, it seems that actress Katherine Renee Kane may be departing from the series FBI following her appearance in at least one episode during the upcoming seventh season.

Kane portrayed Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, a brilliant colleague of Special Agent Stuart Scola (John Boyd), who had spent six years with the New York Police Department prior to joining the FBI.

In 2020, Kane became a part of the series during its third run, replacing Ebonee Noel’s character, Kristen Chazal, who was both a special agent and an intelligence analyst.

The news of Kane’s departure comes alongside the casting of Lisette Olivera in Season 7 as a new behavioral analysis unit agent named Syd.

In simple terms, the actress is set to show up in at least one episode during Season 7, which will be her last appearance as a main character. Previously, her character, Tiffany Wallace, had a significant presence in multiple episodes of the previous season, and she played a pivotal role in some key turning points.

In May, Kane expressed to TVLine his hope that Tiffany would experience more moments of relaxation and humor, not just in her personal life, but also at work with her coworkers.

“I’d like to see Tiffany continue to be a badass agent but also relax into life in a nice way. That would be really, really lovely.”

The FBI is an action-packed American television series about police procedures, produced by Emmy winner Dick Wolf and Craig Turk. It first aired on CBS on September 25, 2018. The storyline revolves around the investigations carried out by a team of special agents based in the New York City office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

With Boyd and Olivera, the actors also feature Missy Peregrym portraying Maggie Bell, Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom “OA” Zidan, Alana De La Garza playing Isobel Castille, and Jeremy Sisto in the role of Jubal Valentine.

Three spin-off shows followed the original series after its debut. FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International made their appearances on screen in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Earlier this year, CBS extended the run of all three shows, granting the FBI a three-season pickup. Each series will make its return on CBS starting from October 15.
