Kate Winslet recalls fondly her experience on the set of The Holiday, particularly the endearing pet name “K Dub” that her fellow actor Jack Black playfully bestowed upon her while they were shooting, according to People Magazine’s report.

As reported by the outlet, during a special screening of Kate Winslet’s latest film Lee on September 23 (Monday) in New York City, she received a humorous video message from Idris Elba. In this message, he playfully inquired about the possibility of Holiday 2 coming out and expressed his longing and affection for her.

During a screening chat with Josh Horowitz, the actress shared that her co-star had affectionately dubbed her “K Dub.” In the movie The Reader, people on set often call her K Dub. If she’s with Lee and someone needs to find her, they refer to her as Kate, since there were two of them with similar names, according to the publication.

Actor Jude Law, who was in the movie, told E! News that he’s keen on a potential sequel. He suggested that enthusiasts of the film should reach out to director Nancy Meyers to see if a second installment might be in the works.

On an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February, Winslet disclosed that more individuals identify her with her character from The Holiday rather than Titanic, particularly around Christmastime.

She shared that numerous mothers and daughters have told her in the supermarket about their fondness for the 2006 film, which they now watch annually as part of their Christmas custom. She went on to say, “They have unique foods they enjoy each year, they gather together—it’s a tradition, and I simply adore that.” She also mentioned her delight in witnessing mother-daughter bonding through this movie, describing it as both “warm” and “endearing.

There has been much speculation among fans if another movie will come out. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely as Kate Winslet herself stated to People Magazine that there have been no discussions about a sequel. At this point, the probability of seeing a follow-up is not high.
