Over the past five years, Kate Middleton and Prince William have faced many difficulties, but their marriage has endured through various trials. They’ve managed to sail through rough waters caused by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit, the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the losses of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth.
2024 dealt another heavy blow to Middleton and King Charles when they were regaining ground, as both received a cancer diagnosis. This setback found them back at the starting point. Yet, amidst the adversity, the Duke and Duchess of Wales stood by each other with unwavering strength.
During an interview with People magazine, royal expert Amanda Foreman offered insights into the royal couple’s relationship. She stated, “The past five years have been a living hell for them in every imaginable way.” However, she also noted that such adversity can either break or strengthen a marriage: “It may tear them apart, or it could be the very thing that brings them closer together.
