Kate Hudson Turns Heads in Chic Plaid Suit at ‘Song Sung Blue’ Screening

Kate Hudson is currently promoting her new film, Song Sung Blue. On January 30th, she appeared at a screening in London’s Charlotte Street Hotel and answered questions from fans about her work in the movie.

Kate Hudson received a Best Actress nomination at the 98th Academy Awards for her role as Claire Sardina in a film inspired by the real-life story of a couple who formed a tribute band to Neil Diamond. At the London premiere, she chose a stylishly casual outfit: a plaid blazer and pants paired with a simple blue shirt.

To get ready for the role, actress Hudson spent time with the real Claire Sardina. Although some of Claire’s family weren’t thrilled with how the story was depicted, Claire herself was very happy with the final result. Hudson told Deadline that Claire was pleased with how their story – a true love story – was portrayed, calling it a heartfelt tribute to them. Hudson also expressed her gratitude for Claire’s support and approval.

Before heading to London, Hudson went to Paris Fashion Week. She saw several major shows, including Giorgio Armani Privé, and even sat in the front row alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Diane Kruger. She thought the new collections were stunning, describing them as light, airy, and almost otherworldly.

Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson’s mother, expressed her excitement about Hudson’s Oscar nomination on Instagram, writing, “Oh, my baby, my baby, my baby girl! I love you as big as the universe.” This nomination is particularly special because it comes 25 years after Hudson’s first Oscar nod for her role in Almost Famous.

The new movie, Song Sung Blue, is currently in theaters and stars Hudson alongside Hugh Jackman. It’s received some attention due to public criticism from Claire Sardina’s son. However, Hudson recently told The Hollywood Reporter that she’s choosing to concentrate on her relationship with Claire and the creative team’s intentions for the film, rather than the family disagreement.
