Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn were a standout pair at the Academy Awards on Sunday, sharing a beautiful and stylish moment together. They both looked incredible in coordinated outfits, with shimmering metallics and rich jewel tones. Kate Hudson, who was nominated for Best Actress, wore a stunning custom teal gown by Armani Privé, designed with a fitted, mermaid-like shape and covered in sparkling gems.

I was absolutely captivated by Hudson’s gown! The sweetheart neckline was so flattering, and the peplum detail felt incredibly sophisticated. But the real showstopper was the jewelry – a breathtaking collection of 41-carat green diamonds from Garatti, reportedly worth $35 million! Her hair was styled in these gorgeous, sweeping curls, reminiscent of Old Hollywood, and the whole look felt both classic and fresh. And Goldie Hawn! She looked stunning beside her in a sleek black sequin gown. The sheer, plunging neckline and dramatic opera gloves were such a chic contrast – a truly unforgettable pairing.

Goldie Hawn’s presence at the ceremony held special significance, considering she herself had won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1970 for Cactus Flower. While she couldn’t attend that ceremony because she was filming in London, being there with her daughter 56 years later felt like a beautifully complete moment.
Kate Hudson, nominated for her role in the film Song Sung Blue, had often said in the weeks before the show that the most important thing to her was having her mother there with her.
Kate Hudson expressed her excitement about returning to the Oscars on the Today show, calling it “really cool” and hoping her mother will join her as her date so they can enjoy the event together.
Her nomination for the song “Song Sung Blue” is particularly special, as it’s her first Academy Award recognition in 25 years – since her memorable role in “Almost Famous.” The film tells the story of a real-life couple, played by Hudson and Hugh Jackman, who unexpectedly gain fame as a Neil Diamond tribute band in Milwaukee.
The movie, directed by Craig Brewer, has been well-received for its heartwarming story, strong musical numbers, and the clear connection between Hudson and Jackman. Released on Christmas Day 2025, it’s resonated with audiences and gained increasing attention throughout awards season.
Beyond this current project, Kate Hudson is a remarkably versatile actress. For over twenty years, she’s successfully juggled her acting career with being an author, businesswoman, and mother of three. She’s well-known for popular romantic comedies like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and has also earned praise for her work in films such as Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. She will continue to both produce and star in the popular Netflix series Running Point, which has been a major hit.
