In the upcoming psychological thriller titled “The Life List,” Karla Sofia Gascon is expected to make her screen appearance as a psychiatrist. This new film project signifies the actress’s return to cinema after the Emilia Perez scandal. Sharing the screen with Vincent Gallo, Gascon will be under the direction of Stefania Rossella Grassi, a first-time director. As per reports, Gascon’s character is said to have the ability to portray both divine and malevolent beings.

The storyline centers on Gallo, a resident of a modest New York apartment, who receives cryptic instructions within his building’s elevator. According to the film’s summary, these messages compel him to carry out heinous murders of three other tenants, each of whom harbors intentions to eliminate their next of kin.

Last week, Gascon spoke to the press about her part in an upcoming venture, all while enjoying Europe‘s longest-standing festival for the LGBTQ community.

In terms of the movie maker, Grassi has proactively taken charge of directing short movies. Alongside this, she has jointly penned the script with Tommaso Scutari. Beyond her role as director, Grassi will also be contributing financially to the film by assuming the position of producer.

Regarding the latest project involving Variety, Grassi characterized the movie as “disturbing, intense, and captivating.

During this time, Gascon drew significant media scrutiny and criticism due to her insensitive statements and social media posts about various religious communities worldwide. The actress garnered numerous nominations during the awards season. Unfortunately, after making those remarks, Karla Sofia was also excluded from attending the events.

Apart from The Life List, Gascon is set to appear in the upcoming Italian comedy titled “Men and Their Unwanted Predicaments,” a film that was filmed just prior to Emilia Perez.
