Karl Hab recently revealed his newest photobook: a bird’s-eye exploration showcasing the beauty hidden within the boundaries of a tennis court.

Titled “Tennis Courts”, Hab’s recent project is a tribute to the unsung architectural charm of tennis courts. It is a thematically organized collection, predominantly featuring aerial shots in short format, that delves into the sport and its ambiance using Hab’s unique visual perspective.

Worldwide, from Paris to London and California, Haab has always been drawn to sports venues, although he didn’t start taking photos for this project until 2013. The book, encompassing 136 pages, showcases the serene yet mesmerizing atmosphere of the courts from different perspectives. Haab experimented with form, color, and arrangement to create striking visuals.

In the press release, Hab expressed that these components harmoniously form a unique, visually expressive language that continually sparks inspiration within him.

As a passionate enthusiast, I’ve carefully selected these unique images that have remained unseen until now, as they resonate deeply with me. My objective was to capture the essence of sports in an unusual, artistic perspective. Staying true to my creative style, this book serves as a photographic journey, a heartfelt homage to the breathtaking beauty encapsulated within tennis settings.

Although Tennis Courts provides a unique perspective on the sport, Hab’s book primarily focuses not so much on the game itself but rather on the ambiance or environment it generates.

Currently on sale at the official 24HBooks online shop, you can buy “Tennis Courts” for €40,00 euros, which is approximately $47 US dollars.
