This week, Kanye West sparked uproar once more by publishing a string of strong comments on the platform that was once known as Twitter. On this occasion, he vented his anger towards musicians Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Future.

In one of his statements, he critiqued Future by labeling him as “past his prime,” following the release of Playboi Carti’s new album. West also targeted Kendrick Lamar, suggesting that people are not listening to his music. Moreover, he voiced disapproval towards Lamar’s song Not Like Us, which received significant acclaim at the Oscars.

West kept up his internet rant, targeting Drake particularly on his fashion decisions. He shared a picture of Drake in a vibrant yellow and blue ensemble, poking fun at his style, jokingly insinuating that Drake had landed a role in a Barbie movie sequel.

In simpler terms, the artist affiliated with Donda stirred up an old feud between Kendrick and Drake by claiming record companies were manipulating Lamar to hinder Drake’s achievements, suggesting that Drake should have performed at the Super Bowl halftime show before Lamar and adding more jabs towards him.

Interestingly, he was complimentary towards Lizzo, referring to her as an “exceptional talent” and expressing his appreciation for her career decisions. Additionally, he showed admiration for 50 Cent by using a ‘goat’ emoji next to his name.

West’s recent posts continue a pattern of contentious online comments. Earlier, he deactivated his X account in February following provocative statements. With these latest assaults, he finds himself back in the midst of the hip-hop industry’s turmoil.
