Kanye West is NOT His Name Anymore, Find Out as Rapper Changes Moniker For Second Time After Using Ye

Kanye West has been surprising us daily with new twists, and his latest move feels like a boomerang coming back. Back in 2018, he started referring to himself as ‘Ye’, but according to Page Six’s recent report, the rapper and fashion mogul has switched it up again. He now prefers to be called ‘Ye Ye’. This makes us think that maybe this is the seven-year itch they used to mention. If so, we expect another change to ‘Ye Ye Ye’ by 2033!

According to reports, Kanye West is said to have adopted a new nickname, Ye Ye, based on recent business filings in California by his financial officer, Hussain Lalani. This change doesn’t appear to be an error, suggesting that it may indeed be the rapper’s intent. Notably, this name change extends to West’s various businesses such as Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, LLC, and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc., indicating a significant shift in his professional branding.

Kanye West’s past name change

In 2018, Kanye West, who was then 48 years old, announced on Twitter that he would be known as YE, following the release of an album by the same name. It wasn’t until 2021 that he officially changed his birth name. More recently, on June 1, he declared that he would no longer use his X account because the username was tied to his ‘slave name’, and instead plans to launch a new account under the Ye moniker. Previously known as Kanye West, it appears he has decided to legally change his name to simply Ye.

This occurs during a string of setbacks for the Donda singer, such as a fiery legal dispute with his ex-wife and mother to their 4 children, Kim Kardashian, and questionable episodes in his relationship with Bianca Censori, which have been marked by controversy.
