Kamala Harris Is ‘Proud’ To Have Taylor Swift’s Support But Reveals ONE Area Where They Are On Opposite Sides

As a die-hard fan of Taylor Swift, who has witnessed her evolution from a country crooner to a pop icon, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I see her standing alongside Kamala Harris in support of her presidential campaign. The way they both champion for causes close to their hearts, it feels like two powerful women are joining forces to create positive change in our world.

Kamala Harris proudly announced that Taylor Swift has endorsed her candidacy for the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, which will take place on November 5th. She’s delighted to have the popular musician backing her in this significant political race.

On Friday, September 20, during an in-person conversation with WIRED, Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, addressed some of the internet’s most frequently asked questions about herself. In response to a Google search linking her name with Swift (the current Vice President), she expressed admiration for the singer, referring to her as “an exceptional artist.” According to Harris, Swift has gained her respect by courageously standing up for her convictions in her professional life.

Although they share similar political views, there’s a disagreement on sports between her and Swift, Harris mentioned. She playfully pointed out that she and the singer have little in common when it comes to football, as she roots for the San Francisco 49ers while Swift stands by her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last year found me rooting for a different team during the Super Bowl, I jested, but let’s face it, nobody should be upset about sticking by their own team, right? Unfortunately, my team didn’t quite make it last time around, while your boyfriend’s team, you might recall, successfully defended its Super Bowl title this year.

On September 10th, Swift publicly endorsed Harris, shortly after her debate with former President Trump. Posting on Instagram, the Call It What You Want singer revealed that she had chosen to vote for Harris as she strongly believes “She passionately advocates for the rights and issues I feel require a strong advocate.

Swift referred to Harris as a “skilled, reliable leader” who was praised for selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

In a post aimed at her 284 million followers, Taylor Swift encouraged them to base their decisions on their own research rather than her endorsement. Towards the end of the lengthy message, she playfully referred to herself as “childless cat lady,” likely in response to JD Vance’s remark about Kamala Harris and women who don’t have children, which he made in 2021.

Notable figures such as Billie Eilish and her sibling Finneas, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Rock, Oprah Winfrey, and others have shown their support for Harris.
