On a given day, Harris chose to contribute to her community by volunteering alongside her spouse, Doug, at the D.C. Central Kitchen located in Washington, D.C. In the kitchen, the vice president, adorned in an apron and protective gloves, was observed preparing meals with her family.
She was covered head to toe by an apron featuring the D.C. Central Kitchen logo and rubber gloves as she prepared greens at DCCK’s kitchen. According to TMZ, Harris also made it a memorable day for her grandnieces, who joined them for the service. She was seen gleefully helping one of them to put on gloves.
Her demeanor, too, was vibrant, marking a contrast with the somber tone she used in a video message to her supporters after the 2024 presidential election, where she lost to Donald Trump. In this video, Harris called on her followers to remain hopeful and strong.
In the video, she emphasized, “Please remember this: nobody can take your power away from you. As of November 5th, your power remains the same, along with your purpose and capacity to motivate and inspire.
The release of Kamala Harris’s first video post-election elicited varied responses, with some questioning her emotional wellbeing and going so far as to suggest that she seemed intoxicated.
