According to leaks from Kagurabachi Chapter 81, the upcoming chapter is named “Core Fighters.” It starts with one of Kamunabi’s leaders inquiring about the Barrierkeepers concerning the rising instances of workers being affected by pine tree magic. The Barrierkeepers acknowledge that they are still trying to determine where this sorcery originates.

Hishaku’s sorcery seeds and Kamunabi traitors revealed
In a different wording: Spoilers for Chapter 81 of Kagurabachi take a turn, focusing on Hakuri Sazanami who navigates the hidden passageways beneath Kamunabi. His thoughts wander to his confusion over the true identities of the invaders. Not long after, he crosses paths with Kashima, a squad commander directly under Kudo.
It takes Kashima aback when he finds Hakuri without Kudo, leading Hakuri to disclose that Kudo gave up his life to shield Hakuri during the incident of the pine tree sorcery spreading. This information leaves Kashima stunned, and in response, Hakuri learns that Hishaku implanted seeds within Kamunabi personnel, which grow into pine trees wielding sorcery upon their demise.
A warning announcement is made indicating that approximately 10% of the team might have been planted with lethal seeds. Therefore, Kashima advises others to keep their distance from Hakuri in the Kagurabachi Chapter 81 spoilers. Shortly after, they decide to move forward jointly to obtain the Shinuchi.
Suddenly, it’s as if Kudo has materialized out of thin air, seemingly unscathed. Hakuri breathes a sigh of relief, but Kashima continues to harbor doubts. Their argument is halted when a young woman armed with twin daggers emerges from the shadows, claiming to be Kudo. Kashima gets killed by Hishaku impostor as Uruha arrives
Pine trees grow out of the remains, and Hakuri finds himself pushed aside. He then witnesses “Kudo” holding a dying Kashima captive. However, it’s exposed that this person is not truly Kudo but someone pretending to be him. The fake Kudo admits in the Kagurabachi Chapter 81 spoilers that the real Kudo had perished earlier.
With the girl brandishing a dagger by her side, the pretender hints at meeting a “target,” implying a widespread invasion. As Kashima encourages Hakuri to escape, he meets his end before him. Simultaneously, the Barrierkeepers become aware that they too are being assaulted not only by enemy sorcery from the pines, but also by hidden infiltrators.
In a turn of events, their systems have been breached, causing chaos and haste. Izaru takes charge, soothing the confusion and initiating an investigation. Meanwhile, as Hakuri grieves Kashima’s demise and flees in fear, Yoji Uruha unexpectedly resurfaces in Chapter 81 of Kagurabachi. He slays the Hishaku duo and orders Hakuri to accompany him.
