According to leaks from Chapter 74 of Kagurabachi, the next chapter is named “Dawn” and will carry on with a flashback sequence. In this installment, Seiichi Samura receives a call from Kamunabi, who delivers the grim news of Kunishige Rokuhira’s demise and the disappearance of the Enchanted Blades.
He has been ordered to go to headquarters, with guards being dispatched to bring him. Shortly after hanging up, Samura hears the doorbell and opens it to find Yura waiting. Suspecting that Yura’s team might be behind Kunishige’s demise, Samura wonders aloud if they are responsible for his death.
(Note: This version maintains the original’s narrative structure while using more natural, conversational language.)
In the Kagurabachi Chapter 74 spoilers, Yura verifies the information and discloses that his group is known as Hishaku. He informs Samura that they have previously neutralized a user of the Enchanted Blade, Misaki, and warns him that he faces the same outcome if he fails to collaborate, implying a threat.
Yura is convinced that Samura will concur, based on the approaching Great Catastrophe. However, Samura doubts the authenticity of Yura’s prophecy, instead pointing fingers at him for disrupting the charm safeguarding the Shinuchi. He alleges that the Hishaku are responsible for unleashing a fresh Curse, but Yura refutes these claims.
In response, he highlights the persistent growth of wicked flora on the island as evidence that the Sword Saint’s harmful influence still endures. Yura contends that the supposed peace Samura describes is precarious and could easily crumble in the events revealed in Kagurabachi Chapter 74.
Yura makes clear his plan to slay the Sword Saint and assume the role of Shinuchi, aiming to halt any more disasters. He asserts his grasp on the Malediction and Shinuchi’s genuine essence. When asked about Iori, Samura confesses that he sent her off so she wouldn’t be entangled in peril. Yura extends an opportunity for redemption to Samura.
In Samura’s understanding, he might have to join forces with the Hishaku in order to eradicate evil from its very roots. As for The Kagurabachi Chapter 74, it delves into Iori’s tale; she was under Kamunabi’s protection following Kunishige’s demise.
Six months after their departure, Rou and Masumi return and reveal their intention to wipe out any trace of Iori being Samura’s daughter. The scene fades with Iori reminiscing about these sweet yet tinged memories. In the current timeline, Rou is taken aback to find that Iori’s protective barrier has shattered. Meanwhile, as Chihiro strikes Hiruhiko, Toto lends a hand and cautions him not to draw Kumeyuri, given his wounds.
While Iori skillfully defends against numerous assailants using masterful swordplay, she reassures Chihiro that she was trained by Samura. However, Iori has never actually wielded a real sword before. As the Kagurabachi Chapter 74 hints, Iori reminisces about her yearning for strength, hoping it might help her find her father once more.
Chihiro thinks that Samura is now recalling Iori, but for the time being, has other pressing matters to attend to. Meanwhile, as Chihiro and Hiruhiko draw their weapons, Enten and Kumeyuri, the skies begin to clear. Soon enough, Samura appears, with dark wings spread, and unveils Tobiume, concluding the chapter.
