In early 2024, the actor and stuntman became part of the production team, initially planned for a five-day shoot. However, his stay on set extended to two weeks. During his discussion, Canestraro touched upon Blake Lively’s demeanor while filming. Having collaborated with her before on A Simple Favor in 2018, he found the experience to be effortless and enjoyable. However, during It Ends with Us, he observed that she seemed more reserved.

In a previous promotional session, Canestraro posed almost without clothing alongside Lively for advertising purposes and found her to be incredibly professional and thoughtful. As he put it, “It was an effortless experience.” Notably, she even ensured there was a bathroom available for him following the shoot’s conclusion. When they later reconnected for this project, Canestraro expressed that he felt at ease collaborating with her once more, but noted that she seemed changed.

It wasn’t until Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment and the creation of a hostile work environment in December 2024 that Canestraro became aware of what was transpiring backstage.
