In the meantime, Brian Freedman, attorney for the actor from Jane the Virgin, Justin Baldoni, expressed surprise by the comment made by The Proposal actor, as this occurred during an ongoing legal matter.
In a conversation on Hot Mics with Billy Bush, the lawyer stated, “I can’t think of anyone, to be honest, whose spouse has experienced sexual harassment and joked about such situations.
Freedman further added, “I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that.”
It’s uncertain whether the lawyer plans to present Justin’s remarks in court, but during an interview, he said, “Justin is treating this lawsuit with utmost seriousness and not using it as an opportunity for public ridicule.
Originally, Blake Lively brought legal action against director Justin Baldoni for alleged sexual misconduct and orchestrating a defamatory campaign against her.
After the online buzz surrounding the case built up, Baldoni responded with a countersuit against the actress, alleging that she and her spouse had tried to prevent him from attending the film’s premiere due to defamatory statements.
