Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Slams Blake Lively’s Husband Ryan Reynolds for Trying to Dismiss Lawsuit: ‘We Will Not Stop Until…’

As Justin Baldoni’s devoted follower, I’m sharing that Bryan Freedman, his attorney, voiced disapproval towards Ryan Reynolds for attempting to dismiss a defamation lawsuit against him. Freedman claimed that Reynolds was trying to evade the situation by filing a motion to exclude himself from the ongoing case.

According to a statement given to PEOPLE, Freedman asserted that Ryan Reynolds played a crucial role in the plan. Moreover, he mentioned that Reynolds’ influence has been evident throughout the negative campaign against Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer group right from the beginning.

Bryan Freedman contended that Reynolds’ motion to discard was an effort to trivialize significant accusations. He further stated, “Mr. Reynolds is trying to transform substantial grievances into ’emotional distress,’ thereby implying that harassment is tolerable.

After striking a match, Mr. Reynolds is attempting to escape the fire, but it’s futile.

Additionally, he can guest star on numerous comedy shows and attempt to humorously address his predicament, yet we will persist in pursuing justice until he faces consequences for his actions.

In response to the allegations made by Baldoni, Reynolds’ lawyers, Mike Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, countered by saying that these claims lack validity in terms of legal standing. On March 18, Reynolds’ legal team submitted a motion asserting that labeling someone as a predator is a protected opinion under the First Amendment, as it is an expression rather than a factual statement.

Reynolds’ lawyers contended that for the defamation charge to stand, it should be demonstrated that Reynolds himself didn’t genuinely believe what he said was accurate.

It was asserted that the grievance didn’t level such an accusation, but rather implied that Reynolds sincerely thought Baldoni was a harasser. Furthermore, the legal team highlighted that Baldoni himself had openly discussed his previous actions towards women and the importance of consent boundaries.

In January, Baldoni initiated a defamation lawsuit for USD 400 million against Reynolds, Lively, and their publicist, Sloane. This legal action was prompted by claims that Reynolds disparaged Baldoni to a talent agent at WME, branding him as a sexual predator during the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in July 2024.

In December 2024, the talent agency terminated its agreement with Baldoni following Lively’s allegation of sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us”. However, WME clarified that Reynolds did not influence their decision, as they explained that Baldoni’s representative was absent during the film premiere.
