Justin Baldoni’s Former Agency WME Denies Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Pressured Them To Drop Him As Client

As an ardent fan of the world of Hollywood and its intricate web of power dynamics, I find myself utterly astounded by the unfolding drama surrounding Justin Baldoni, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and their respective agencies. The allegations and counter-allegations have left me utterly bewildered, much like trying to untangle a ball of yarn that seems to grow larger with each pull.

Justin Baldoni’s life experience has been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least. From rising through the ranks as an actor and director to finding himself at the center of such a controversial storm. It’s like watching a gripping thriller unfold in real life, with each twist and turn leaving us all on the edge of our seats.

However, amidst this whirlwind of accusations and counter-accusations, one thing stands out: the relentless pursuit for justice and vindication by both parties. It’s reminiscent of a cat and mouse game, with each side seemingly one step ahead of the other.

And now, to lighten the mood, let me share a little humor to help us all digest this complex situation: I guess we can say that Hollywood is indeed a small town, where even the red carpet can feel like a makeshift holding area at times!

According to Justin Baldoni’s previous management company, WME, neither Ryan Reynolds nor Blake Lively were involved in their choice to terminate Baldoni as their represented talent.

Last month, the talent agency parted ways with Baldoni due to Blake Lively’s accusation of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on set, which she made to the California Civil Rights Department. On December 31, Tuesday, Baldoni filed a lawsuit for $250 million against The New York Times, claiming that they, along with Lively and her husband, coerced his agent to drop him at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere last year, in an effort to ruin his personal and professional life.

On January 1st, WME informed The Hollywood Reporter that Baldoni’s allegations were significantly off base. They clarified that the individual accused as Baldoni’s agent wasn’t present at the premiere of the mentioned Ryan Reynolds film, and there was no pressure from the couple exerted on Baldoni, contrary to his claims.

Baldoni has filed a lawsuit against The New York Times for allegations of libel, misrepresentation, and intrusion into private life, among other charges.

According to a lawsuit obtained by Us Weekly, Baldoni claims that Lively has been deliberately excluding him from promoting his own movie. The actor further alleges that she attempted to prevent him from attending the film’s premiere last summer, but eventually allowed him and his team to go, albeit under humiliating conditions. These conditions were reportedly embarrassing not only for Baldoni, but also for his family and loved ones on his team, as claimed by the actor.

According to Baldoni’s account, they were kept apart from the main group, prevented from attending an exclusive post-event gathering, and required to arrange a separate function at their own expense.

The suit also alleges that Lively attempted to exclude Baldoni and his family during the red carpet event of the film’s premiere, by abruptly ending Baldoni’s involvement and relocating his relatives and companions to a temporary waiting area located in the basement.

In addition to taking the spotlight in the movie, the lawsuit claims that Lively denied Baldoni and his team a sincere chance to bask in the glory of their labor by allegedly stealing from them as well.

On Tuesday, December 31, the actress transformed her grievance against the Civil Rights Department into a full-fledged court case. Additionally, she is taking legal action against publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel, as well as Wyfarer Studios.
