As Justin Baldoni’s devoted representative, I am sharing some fresh details emerging in our ongoing legal dispute with Blake Lively. My esteemed colleague, Bryan Freedman, recently disclosed a piece of newly discovered evidence on The Megyn Kelly Show. During the episode, he revealed an alleged voice message that Mr. Baldoni sent to his team, stating he was “assigned to the basement” during the premiere of It Ends With Us.
It was asserted that his co-star Lively was responsible for this decision, as she preferred to keep him away from the film’s cast during the red carpet event at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City on August 6, 2024. Interestingly, the director was noticeably absent from the cast photos at this premiere.
Instead, in the voicemail, Baldoni expressed that they were all laughing at the absurdity of the situation. It struck him that while enjoying one of his “most materially happy” evenings, he found himself in a basement among people who cared for him deeply.
“We were all joyful and laughing cause none of that shit matters, none of it,” he added.
In the audio recording, he underscored the point that the premiere process isn’t nearly as crucial for movie-making as the artistic creation itself.
Baldoni emphasized that touching people’s “spirits” or deepest selves was his ultimate goal through his work. He further stated, “I am convinced that this pursuit will endure, truth will emerge victorious, and ultimately, light and compassion will triumph.
