In a recent lawsuit against his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni asserts that instead of him mocking her appearance during filming of the summer release shortly after she had her youngest child, as she alleges, it was actually Blake who made fun of his physical appearance and suggested he undergo plastic surgery.
In a lawsuit I brought forth on Thursday, January 16th, amounting to $400 million, I, the former Jane the Virgin cast member, claimed that Amber Lively persistently deviated from character during a particular scene. Instead of maintaining Lily’s persona, she began conversing as herself, which left me thoroughly perplexed.
In a turn of events, Lively expressed regret over the strong scent of her spray tan and makeup. Baldoni, in response, found it pleasant, and continued with their performance, engaging in slow dancing as he thought his character would do with his partner, which inevitably involved some level of physical interaction. The documents obtained by Page Six reveal this sequence of events.
Once more, Lively steered the conversation away from seriousness and poked fun at Baldoni’s nose. Baldoni responded good-naturedly, joining in the laughter and playfully suggesting that he might consider a nose job himself.
In the court case, Baldoni asserted that he openly conveyed feelings of insecurity concerning his physical appearance, a subject he tackled during an episode of his Man Enough podcast focused on body dysmorphia.
The suit claims that Lively’s comments about Baldoni’s nose were “captured on camera.”
Baldoni’s Thursday defamation and extortion complaint involves not just Lively, but also her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, and her representative, Leslie Sloane.
The director of Five Feet Apart, aged 40, has been accused by Gossip Girl alumna of leveraging her friendship with Taylor Swift to exert influence over the production of It Ends With Us, which premiered in August 2024. Baldoni also dismissed the sexual harassment allegations that Lively made in her legal complaint.
37-year-old Lively claimed in her December lawsuit that there should have been a gathering where everyone was present, including Reynolds (48), regarding Baldoni’s alleged inappropriate actions. He was reportedly told not to exhibit “videos or pictures of naked women” towards Lively and to cease discussing his previous porn habit and sexual encounters.
Lively also accused Baldoni of engaging in an active campaign to destroy her reputation.
A month ago, Baldoni initiated a lawsuit worth $250 million against The New York Times, asserting that they unfairly edited and chose specific exchanges between himself and Lively, while neglecting to provide the essential background in their piece about the actress’s accusations of sexual misconduct.
